I’ve got this awful habit of pretending that I don’t want something and downplaying my desire for it until I’m sure I can have it so that if I cannot have it I can maintain the image that I never craved it so badly. Hence creating the outward image that I don’t want it in the first place, leading to my evasion and consequent loss of it. This also applies to people.
getting into a relationship may seem tempting but so was getting on the titanic and look what happened there
Why can’t boys just ever straight up say what they want?
( I am aware that I’m a complete hypocrite because I’m not saying anything either )
Brooke: How did you know it was over?
Grubbs: For the longest time, whenever I would see her, even after we weren't together anymore, she would tell me that she missed me and I would look into her eyes and I knew she meant it. Then one day she just stopped saying it and I knew she was gone.
